What is e-Procurement?
e-Procurement is simply the business-to-business purchase and sale of supplies and services over the internet.
In the context of public sector procurement this means that buyers can collect quotes, order goods and services and make payment to suppliers online. Suppliers can submit tenders, collect orders and carry out invoicing all at the click of a button.
If you are a public sector organisation you will be aware of the e-procurement targets set by central government. Many of you will be up and running with an e-procurement solution. However, construction procurement specifically continues to be very complex and the use of pre-qualified suppliers is still essential.
E Procurement can be a big challenge for suppliers
but there are a number of organisations out there to
help you get e-enabled without causing any significant
disruption to your current business processes. Click
