Gov Facility Services Limited (GFSL) is a Ministry of Justice owned not-for-profit company. Set up in 2018, we work closely with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) to deliver a range of facility services to 48 prisons in the south of England, including statutory and mandatory planned maintenance, reactive repair, cleaning, stores operation and Project works. We also help the Prison Service reduce reoffending by providing opportunities for prisoners to develop skills and gain work experience. Under the current COVID restrictions, we currently support up to 750,000 hours per year of work by prisoners across the 48 prisons we maintain.
GFSL is partnering with Construction Line for reassurance of a robust, safe and competent Supply Chain.
We know the Constructionline platform and membership scheme for its standard prequalification questions allow us to tap into excellent compliance, financial and health and safety information at the click of a button.
We strongly recommend that our FM and Project suppliers prequalify to Gold standard to ensure they meet our minimum standards.
Therefore, please join Constructionline at the Gold membership level with an SSIP. Please note, this membership level must be kept up to date for the entire duration of your engagement with GFSL and you must also hold an SSIP.
Our core objective is to support HMPPS in providing a safe working environment and maintaining and improving the physical infrastructure of their prisons. We only work in prisons run by HMPPS.

We strongly recommend all of our subcontractors to be a verified Constructionline Gold member (or above) and to have a current SSiP Certification, for inclusion on our approved core Sub-Contractor list.

Alternatively, if you are an existing member of Constructionline and have either: Constructionline Associate, Bronze or Silver Membership, you can upgrade to Gold membership by logging in to your profile and selecting ‘Manage account‘ from the left-hand menu.
In addition, all Gold members are assessed for SSIP. Our Acclaim team is accredited to assess and award ‘Deem to Satisfy’ SSIP certificates for health and safety – something that all construction buyers look for in supplier selection.
If you’re currently verified to Constructionline Gold Membership or above, no further action is required.
Register for the Constructionline membership level our partner has directed you to, or the membership level that best fits your company profile. During registration you’ll need to supply the sign-up code you were given in your letter or email communication. Existing Constructionline members will need to upgrade to the appropriate membership level as directed. By joining Constructionline you’ll become part of a 46,000 strong community of like-minded Suppliers. Representing over a quarter of the industry, Constructionline is the UK’s most connected and progressive provider of procurement and supply chain management services.
After you register as a Constructionline member, you’ll receive an email from Constructionline confirming your registration and login details. Once you’re registered, login to the Constructionline portal and ensure that your profile is complete and up to date across all of the appropriate sections.
Constructionline will carry out an assessment of your completed profile. We will let you know if anything requires any updates and assist you through the verification process.
