Robertson in partnership with Constructionline

The contractor of choice for clients whose schemes require high-quality standards and attention to detail.

About Robertson

At Robertson, we value our supply chain members as critical partners in the successful delivery of daily operations across our family of businesses.

Fully integrating our activities to create highly focused delivery teams, our joint principles ensure we work collaboratively to deliver supply chain excellence across all areas of project delivery.

With 70 per cent of business turnover being associated to the work, services, and materials our supply chain members provide, it is essential that we maintain a high performing multi sector supply chain made up of national, local, SME and third sector suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturers, designers, and consultants.

We value the wider significance that effective supply chain management practices can have on our ability to deliver a lasting legacy across the communities where we work. As a responsible business it is therefore essential that we create the right environment where our extended supply chain can meet our high standards.

Robertson has partnered with Constructionline to streamline the supplier PQQ process. This provides more certainty of supplier credentials, with suppliers required to complete questions aligned to the Common Assessment Standard, which focuses on key risk areas. This will allow Robertson, and our supply chain, to show adherence to important legislation and regulatory requirements.

Buyer name: Robertson

Contact name: Martin Dick, Group Procurement & Supply Chain Director

Level of membership required: Gold

Why Gold?  In order to adapt to the evolving legislation and regulation, and in order to ensure best practice, Robertson has conducted a review of the supplier PQQ process to ensure we are capturing important information.

In doing so, we have identified that the Common Assessment Standard aligns with Robertson’s desired question-set. This is a standardised question set developed in partnership with Build UK, required by many of the main contractors across the UK. By adopting the Common Assessment Standard, we hope to minimise disruption within our supply chain, of which over 60% are already Constructionline Gold members.

“At Robertson we value our supply chain as an extension to our team, working together to drive standards of excellence across everything we do in an efficient and effective manner. Our partnership with Constructionline will provide an opportunity to ensure our standards of prequalification are aligned to those across the industry, working to support the development of our supply chain through the provision of a streamlined supply chain approval solution.”

Our Partnership with Constructionline

All new suppliers must go through our prequalification process to ensure they meet our standards before working on our projects. We have partnered with Constructionline as we believe their platform and membership scheme offers excellent compliance, financial and health and safety information and risk management at the click of a button.

In order to remain compliant with Robertson’s requirements, you are required to join Constructionline at the Gold membership level. This will allow us to keep a track through the process of you joining the scheme. Please note, you must maintain a verified status for the entire duration of your engagement with Robertson, or risk being removed from our supply chain.

Alternatively, if you are an existing member of Constructionline and have either: Constructionline Associate, Bronze or Silver Membership, you can upgrade to Gold membership by logging in to your profile and selecting ‘Review Membership‘ from the left-hand menu.

If you’re currently verified to Constructionline Gold or Platinum Membership or above and already have an SSIP, no further action is required.
