We’re continuing to improve our Marketplace platform to help you find, manage and win more relevant opportunities, including updates to:
We’ve updated the interface on Tender Management, part of Marketplace, to make it easier for you to view tender information, submit quotes, stay organised, and keep track of your enquiries.
To view a live work package (ITT – Invitation to Tender), you can access it via a few ways:
Marketplace -> Tender Management -> Your enquiries
Directly from your bookmarked opportunities: this will take you directly to the ITT page
When you search for an ITT on the Opportunities Board (select Premium and filter by ‘ITT’). It will then automatically open in a new tab.
When you view an ITT, you can now benefit from:
Easily view the project description, attached documents, addendums, and any quotes you’ve submitted
Keep track of an opportunity’s progress in one place, including bookmarked opportunities and those where you want to revise pricing.
Use the tracking bar to keep track of multiple opportunities at different stages of your tender enquiries.
We’ve also added icons to provide updates on the status of your opportunities:
View when you’ve accepted an enquiry (sent directly to you, or from the Opportunities Board)
View leads you’ve quoted for
Easily view addendums: see which projects have had revised documents or dates
Connect directly with the main contractor through the platform.
No more scattered emails: keep messages in one place according to the ITT you’re pricing for with its built-in messaging system. Check for further enquiries, such as updates on tender decisions.
When in the ITT, click ‘Quote’. This will open up for you to easily submit pricing documents and supporting documents, plus messages.
Better understand why a main contractor has declined your participation. No more chasing for feedback: Main contractors now need to provide ‘declined’ details, so you get a clearer understanding of why you’re not a fit for the opportunity. Here are some reasons you can expect to help you work with feedback:
Finding the right opportunities on Marketplace just got a lot easier.
We’ve rolled out 3 enhancements to the Opportunities Board that improve how you discover, search, and explore relevant work; from smarter personalisation to more accurate location matching.
Here’s what’s new and what it means for you:
Search results are only useful if the locations are accurate. This update improves how the Opportunities Board tags opportunities with their correct geographical locations, which means your searches will return more relevant results.
In practice, this fixes gaps that could cause opportunities to be missed or misattributed. An opportunity in central Bath will now correctly appear in a Bath search. Portsmouth opportunities will properly show under Hampshire. The update also adds the ability to pinpoint locations from latitude and longitude coordinates when a postcode isn’t available, making the system more reliable across a wider range of opportunity sources.
Why it matters: You’ll see more accurate, relevant results when searching by location, resulting in fewer missed opportunities.
Via Premium Opportunities
You can now switch to a map view directly from the Opportunities Board search results. Rather than scrolling through a list, you can see where opportunities are plotted geographically as pins on an interactive map.
Nearby opportunities are grouped together with a count, and zooming in separates them so you can explore individual results. Clicking a single pin brings up the opportunity details, while clicking a cluster opens a scrollable sidebar listing all opportunities in that area. Any opportunity can be opened in full with a single click – no need to navigate away from the map.
You can toggle between the standard list view and map view at any point, so it’s easy to switch depending on how you prefer to work.
Why it matters: The map view makes it much easier to understand where work is concentrated and spot opportunities in areas you might not have thought to search for.
You can now search for opportunities within a set distance of a chosen location. Once you select a location in the search bar, a radius picker appears with options of 10, 25, 50, or 100 miles (or kilometres, depending on your community). Your results will then be limited to opportunities within that distance.
Alongside the new search functionality, the search bar itself has been redesigned: updated fonts, icons, and layout on both the landing and results pages make it cleaner and more intuitive to use. The location picker has also been improved. Under the hood, the system now ensures every opportunity has coordinates, so even those from sources that don’t provide a postcode can still be included in radius searches.
Why it matters: If your work is location-driven, radius searching gives you a simple, practical way to focus on opportunities close to where you operate.
