Cadent is a gas distribution company that connects customers to the gas they use – whether its homes, factories, shops or businesses. Cadent is committed to operating gas pipelines in a safe and reliable way with minimum inconvenience to communities. There are eight regional distribution networks, four of which are owned by Cadent. The four owned by Cadent are in the West Midlands, North West, East of England and North London. Gas is owned by your gas supplier and Cadent is responsible for this gas whilst it is being transported. Our UK distribution networks deliver gas to around 11 million consumers.
After you register your interest in one of our DPS schemes, you’ll receive an email from Constructionline confirming we’ve received your application. Once you’re signed up and registered, login to the Constructionline portal and ensure that your profile is complete and up to date across all of the PAS91 sections and that you’ve submitted valid up to date references for all of the DPS work categories that you’ve registered for.
The DPS will provide a platform for suppliers to compete for minor gas works, including, but not limited to, gas construction projects, reinforcement and de-commissioning. The scope of these works may be design and build or build only and can range from either one-off projects to small programmes of work.
Cadent Gas Limited requires Local Delivery Partners (LDP’s) to support the delivery of our Gas Mains Replacement Program (MRP) and Non-Mains Replacement Program (Non-MRP) as part of the RIIO2 price control period.
Currently Cadent replace approximately 2000 km of mains per year delivered by our existing suppliers. It is our intention to let a number of packages of work tendered via the Dynamic Procurement System (DPS) for MRP and Non-MRP within Cadent’s networks.
The works will comprise of excavation, backfill and reinstatement to facilitate Mains and Service replacement and abandonment including all necessary job completion data and data required for Regulatory Reporting.
The DPS will provide a platform for suppliers to compete for Minor Civils Works, including, but not limited to, Minor Gas Works, Temporary Works and Specialist Works. The scope of these works may include Design and Build or Build Only and can range from either one-off projects to small programmes of work.
