Downloading the app

In preparation for any Marketplace Live event, you will need to access your entry ticket by downloading our app and logging into your new or existing Guidebook account. Follow these simple steps to get the app.

  1. Open the App Store, or Play Store on your mobile device.
  2. In the search bar type ‘Marketplace Live’.
  3. Click the ‘Get’ or ‘Download’ button.
  4. Click ‘Open’.

Logging in

Once you have downloaded the app, log into your Guidebook account using the email address you registered for an event. Follow these steps for a seamless logging-in experience.

  1. Check your work inbox on your mobile device for an email from ‘invitations@guidebook.com’.
  2. Open the email, and tap ‘Download Marketplace Live’ button.
  3. Once the app opens, enter the email address you registered to attend the events with.
  4. Then, go to your inbox and open the next email from ‘guidebot@guidebook.com’ with the subject line. ‘Log in to Marketplace Live’.
  5. Tap the ‘Continue’ button, where you will automatically be taken back to the app.
  6. Read and agree the policy terms, and then complete your account set up.
  7. Tap ‘Complete Profile’ and then you’re in!

Downloading the event guide

Once you’re logged in, you will see the latest event guides that are ready to download. Click on the next event you want to attend and follow these steps to download the guide.

  1. Go to the ‘My Guides’ tab within the app and tap the latest event guide.
  2. Tap ‘Download Guide’.
  3. Tap ‘Open’.
  4. Allow or don’t allow your information to be shared publicly with other users.
  5. Tap ‘Let’s go’.

Where to find my ticket

Your ticket is a QR code found in the relevant event guide. Your QR code also acts as your business card when speaking with the exhibitors. Here’s how to find your QR code in these 3 easy steps.

  1. Open the latest event guide
  2. Tap the menu button in the top left corner (3 lines).
  3. Tap the QR code icon at the bottom right of the menu next to your name.
    1. If a pop-up appears, tap ‘Got it’.

Exhibitors' bios and Supply Chain requirements

In the app, you can see who is exhibiting, a description of what their company does, any upcoming projects and their contact details. Go to the ‘Who’s exhibiting?’ tab to find out more!

  1. Open the latest event guide and tap the menu button in the top left corner (3 lines).
  2. Tap ‘Who’s exhibiting?’.
  3. Tap on an exhibitor logo.
  4. Check out the description, contact details and useful links.

Sending a connection request

Our simple guide will help you easily make connections with other supplier attendees by sending connection requests.

  1. Open the latest event guide and tap the menu button in the top left corner (3 lines).
  2. Tap ‘Attendee Networking’.
  3. Tap ‘Scan Other Attendees’.
  4. Point your camera at the QR code of the attendee you want to connect with.
  5. Tap ‘Send request’.

Accept and find accepted connection requests

If another supplier attendee scans your QR code at an event, they’ll send you a connection request that you’ll need to accept before you can exchange contact details. Follow these simple steps to find and accept your connection requests.

  1. Tap your profile icon in top right corner of the app.
  2. Tap the icon on the right side.
  3. Here you can see all accepted requests and any new incoming requests.

Pending requests

If you have scanned a user’s QR code to send a connection request, the contact will need to accept the request before seeing their contact details. There’s no specific area to see your pending connection requests; however, here’s a way to find the requests you have sent.

  1. Open the latest event guide and tap the menu button in the top left corner (3 lines).
  2. Tap ‘Attendee Networking’.
  3. Tap ‘Connect with Other Attendees’.
  4. Here you can see all attendees who agreed to share their details.
  5. Just below people’s names who you have send a connection request, you will see this, meaning the request is pending.

The main difference you will clearly see is the name and the branding of our regional events. Meet the Buyer is a known and widely used title for an event amongst the main-contractors to meet with their own supply chain, or new local partners near an area of a project.

Marketplace Live takes the power of Marketplace and brings it to life, providing you with a live environment to connect with main contractors looking to source new suppliers in and around the local area, that match their supply chain requirements.

Our Marketplace Live events provide a brilliant opportunity for you as a Supplier to meet face-to-face with our Buyers and talk about joining their supply chain and promoting your business to any tender opportunities they may have available.

How do I register to attend a Marketplace Live event?

Members can register to attend a Marketplace Live event via our website.

Is there a cost to attend a Marketplace Live event?

It is free for all Constructionline, Facilitiesline and Builder’s Profile members to attend a Marketplace Live event. This includes Constructionline Associate and Material Suppliers.

Who can register to attend a Marketplace Live event?

Any member with a Constructionline, Facilitiesline or Builder’s Profile membership can register to attend a Marketplace Live event. This includes Constructionline Associate and Material Suppliers.

Who within my business should be attending Marketplace Live events?

As an attending sub-contractor looking to source new work for your business, we recommend a member of the team in a business develonment role to attend an event.

Our experts will be on hand at an event to help you with your profile, whether that’s to help you upgrade, learn more about your membership or to look into some issues you may be having, so we invite any member of the team who deals with your membership and compliance to speak to our team.

Can I bring my colleagues with me to a Marketplace Live event?

We ask all attendees to ensure they are registered individually to attend our events. So, if they re not already, please ask your colleagues to register to attend an event by completing the registration form.

How can I see who will be exhibiting at a Marketplace Live event?

All confirmed exhibitors will be displayed on the any relevant events pages they have registered to exhibit at. You can find out more about our upcoming events on our events pages.

They will also be displayed within the events app which will include information about their business, their supply chain opportunities available, and contact details for you to get in touch. Please note you can only see this information if you have registered to attend an event.

What can I expect after registering to attend a Marketplace Live event?

If you are a member, you will be sent a confirmation email for the events you registered to attend. As the events get closer, you will be sent further information about accessing your ticket, confirmed exhibitors and logistics for that event.

For non-members, you will be sent further information regarding our memberships opportunities and a member of the team will contact you to help you find the best membership for your business, so you can reap the benefits of our platform, and attend our events to source new work opportunities.

Will I need to download the events app to attend a Marketplace Live event?

Yes – the event app plays an important role as it contains your ticket to enter any event to register to attend. It also includes a variety of information about the event and the exhibitors, such as their supply chain requirements and contact details.
