Meet the Buyer Birmingham – our most successful event yet! 22nd February saw Constructionline host its Meet the Buyer event in Birmingham. Hosted at the prestigious Edgbaston Cricket Stadium, our buyers had the chance to speak with over 700 suppliers about their upcoming needs and projects. For suppliers, it was the perfect chance to introduce themselves and learn more about those projects on the horizon that they were in a position to support. Constructionline works with a vast range of suppliers across all aspects of the industry, from property maintenance to specialist works. The purpose of our Meet the Buyer events is to enable local and national suppliers to introduce themselves to buyers and identify where they may be able to work together. The face to face approach works really well. Suppliers and buyers are each able to better determine organisational and capability fit, as well as learning a little more about one another in a way that can’t be achieved via formal tender or e-communication alone. For buyers, it’s a valuable way to access companies that can support them within different regions and broad skill sets. We had excellent feedback from attending suppliers and buyers alike; “We had a great time at Meet the Buyer and chatted to some great companies” commented a representative from Bradley Environmental. The Concrete Renovations team agreed, stating Fantastically busy Constructionline Meet the Buyer Event in Edgbaston. Probably the busiest one we have attended! Concrete Renovations EPC Construction Consulting added, “We picked up some useful insights and leads for all things construction.” We host numerous events for our members throughout the year; Meet the Buyer events such as the one in Birmingham are regular and nationwide, and we also run dedicated Supplier Engagement Days to support the recruitment of local suppliers for specific projects. All these events are free to attend. We also allow a small number of sponsors to exhibit at our events. To find an event in your area, please view our event calendar. If you’d like more information on any of these events or feel you have something to contribute, please contact our events team. What next?
