We are pleased to have partnered with Build UK to deliver its Common Assessment Standard.
Gold members have complete access to everything included in our Silver membership with the added bonus of the Common Assessment Standard for no extra cost.
We also conduct a number of further validation checks that we know are of interest to many of our buyers, using an enhanced prequalification questionnaire that goes beyond PAS91. We assess a company’s credentials for environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence and anti-bribery and corruption policies. Some of these policies form part of the Cabinet Office Selection Questionnaire (SQ), which the public sector is expected to comply with.
After working with Build UK to deliver the industry standard pre-qualification initiative, we are now able to offer the standard for recognised assessment companies to start supporting. The Common Assessment Standard is aligned to Constructionline Gold and Platinum accreditation standards enabling easy transition. As an existing Constructionline Gold and Platinum member, there will be no additional charges for the Common Assessment Standard.
The Common Assessment Standard, a standardised set of questions crafted from existing systems (like PAS 91) and from expert input from clients, suppliers and trade organisations. The new standard championed by Build UK and the Civil Engineering Association (CECA) has been long in development with its aims aligned with the Constructionline ethos of saving Suppliers time and most importantly money in the prequalification process. The initiative is being overseen by an Interim Cross-Industry Body consisting of experts from organisations across the sector, including public and private sector clients, contractors and trade associations.
To help our members, both new and existing, we offer the Common Assessment Standard at no extra cost with our Gold and Platinum memberships.
