BD Group is a facilities services company, providing a range of services for public and private sector clients across London and the South East.
It is a commercial company owned by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. It combines the best of private sector commercial approaches and customer focus but with a public service ethos. It operates as a completely independent organisation, with a private sector governance structure headed by a Non-Executive Chairman and Board. All of its profits are invested back into the people and communities of the Borough.
BD Group is committed to providing a high standard service to our customers. Essential to our service is the quality and compliance of our supply chain. To assist the Group in streamlining our operations and drive excellence, we have partnered with the pre-qualification service Constructionline.
The service will not only improve the Group’s supply chain transparency but encourage greater engagement with our suppliers to support our key priorities of service quality, continuous improvement and supply chain development. Through supplier events, the Group can provide updates on our business and future work opportunities and much more.
The use of Constructionline is a step-change for our business and will support our commitment to develop deep and long-lasting relationships with our suppliers.
BD Group has chosen to partner with Constructionline as our preferred pre-qualification check service, to support our minimum supplier vetting requirements before engagement.
This will ensure that all of our suppliers are compliant, and the Group has a sustainable supply chain.
As a minimum, the Group prefers all our supply chain partners to achieve Constructionline Bronze. If you are a materials supplier, you will be asked to complete the Material Supplier question set.

We now require our sub-contractors to become a fully verified Constructionline Bronze member, with an SSIP accreditation, such as Acclaim Accreditation.
If you’re not yet a Constructionline member, you can sign up for Constructionline’s Bronze membership, or if you are an existing member and have an Associate membership, you can upgrade to Bronze membership by logging in to your profile and selecting ‘Manage account‘ from the left-hand menu.
In addition, all Bronze members are assessed for SSIP. Our Acclaim team is accredited to assess and award ‘Deem to Satisfy’ SSIP certificates for health and safety – something that all construction buyers look for in supplier selection.
If you’re currently verified to Constructionline Bronze membership or above, no further action is required.
